There are different methods to cater for most types of idle control motors found on the different engines. Make sure you select the correct wiring procedure for positive or negative driver outputs. When a certain type is selected the software will indicate on which output it must be connected. You can also view this on the GP Priority spread sheets available for different firmware. Note that on the stepper controllers there are an ID wire to select between positive or negative input from the ECU. Below is an example:
